THE Pasig government will reopen the application process for the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) for 500 out-of-school youths from 15 to 30 years old on August 20.

In an advisory by the Pasig Public Information Office (PIO), the slots will be filled on a “first come, first served basis” and the first 500 applicants who register online will undergo screening and evaluation for qualifications.

The Pasig government will post two online application form links for applicants from the barangays of District 1 and District 2 to ensure a fast application process.

The Pasig Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will accept the first 200 qualified applicants from District 1 and the first 300 qualified applicants from District 2.

To qualify, they must be residents of Pasig City, out-of-school (not enrolled and not studying within the implementation period), 15 to 30 years old (based on the implementation period), and have a passing general average or general weighted average from the last school attended of 75 for high school and 3.0 for college.

They must also have a combined net income after tax from their parents, including their own (if applicable), that does not exceed the poverty threshold of P19,868 in annual gross income.

Applicants can also check the requirements and the process of the application on the Pasig Facebook page.

The implementation period of the SPES will be from September 9 to October 4, with 20 days of engagement.
