THE latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed that Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero now has the highest net satisfaction rating among the country’s top officials, surpassing even Vice President Sara Duterte.
Conducted from June 23 to July 1, 2024, among 1,500 adults nationwide with a ±2.5% margin of error, the survey reported Escudero’s net satisfaction rating at +47.
The survey found that 64% of respondents were satisfied with Escudero’s performance as Senate President, while 17% were dissatisfied, leading to his “Good” rating of +47. This was Escudero’s first time being surveyed in his role as Senate President.
Vice President Duterte received a net satisfaction rating of +44, with 65% of respondents expressing satisfaction and 21% dissatisfaction. This marks a significant drop of 19 points from her previous “Very Good” rating of +63 in March 2024.
Speaker Martin Romualdez had a net satisfaction rating of +29, showing a 16-point increase from his previous rating of +13 in March 2024. The survey found that 53% of respondents were satisfied with his performance, while 24% were dissatisfied.
Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo obtained a net satisfaction rating of +32, with 51% satisfied and 20% dissatisfied. This also marks an improvement, with a 19-point increase from his previous rating of +13 in March 2024.
The results indicate a shifting landscape in public satisfaction among the country’s top officials, with Escudero emerging as the leader in net satisfaction.
The survey underscores the varying levels of public support for these key figures as they navigate their roles in government.
