A SUSPECTED drug pusher was killed, 11 others were arrested and over P16 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-narcotics operations in Bulacan, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao and Basilan on Wednesday, officials reported yesterday.
Sawadjaan Alivin Indanan died after shooting it out with operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Army soldiers during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Clara in Lamitan City, Basilan at around 1:40 p.m.
Seized from Indanan were 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, a wallet, an identification card, a cell phone and a motorcycle.
In Tawi-Tawi, Hassan Anggie Hawaan, Mannah Nusuri Muhadi and his wife Mudz Anggie Hawaan were nabbed in another buy-bust operation by PDEA and PNP operatives and Marine soldiers in Barangay Pag-asa in Bongao town at around 9:40 a.m.
The suspects yielded 700 grams of suspected shabu worth P4.76 million, identification cards, and two cell phones.
In Maguindanao, three other suspected drug pushers were arrested by PDEA and PNP operatives and Army soldiers at around 1:20 in Barangay Buayan in Datu Piang town also during a buy-bust operation.
The suspects — Candao Tugaya Mamalacat, Rahim Baluno Abusama,and Mujahid Baluno Abusama — yielded 500 grams of suspected shabu worth P3.4 million. Also seized from them were two wallets, assorted IDs, three cell phones, a multi-cab, and a motorcycle.
