TWO Chinese kidnapping suspects and their Filipino cohort were nabbed by police on Tuesday in Pasay City.
National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao identified the Chinese as Gan Siguo, 24; and Zhao Xin, 24, both POGO employees. Their Filipino cohort was identified as Yves Ian Oxales Panganiban, 28, who drives for the two.
An initial report provided by the PNP said that about midnight of April 27, Chin Li Li, a Chinese, and his Filipino co-worker, John Peter Adayo, reported to the police that their friend, Zhou Wen Hua, has allegedly been detained inside a vehicle along Aseana Drive in Paraňaque City.
Nearly four hours later, at around 3:45 a.m., the Pasay PNP acted on the report, resulting in the arrest of the suspects and the rescue of the victim.
Danao said recovered from the suspects were one Pietro Beretta Gardone V.T. with a magazine, 12 bullets, one fan knife, a white Toyota Fortuner with plate number CAL 5545 and P920,000 in cash. — Noel Talacay
