Mylo Speech Buddy, a healthtech startup dedicated to supporting individuals with speech delays and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), has been chosen to participate in the prestigious Echelon’s TOP100 Growth Program. This selection follows the startup’s impressive showing at Echelon X, e27’s flagship technology event, held at the Singapore Expo on May 15-16, 2024.
Echelon X, a gathering of over 7,000 startups, investors, and industry leaders from across Asia, is designed to foster collaboration and innovation within the tech ecosystem. The TOP100 program, a highlight of the event, specifically focuses on startups with high growth potential, providing them with regional exposure, mentorship, funding opportunities, and exclusive networking events.
Mylo Speech Buddy is a mobile app designed to help children with speech delays, particularly those on the autism spectrum, develop their communication skills. Launched in April 2024 by Vincent Rocha and Enrico Aquino, the app is a testament to their dedication to making a difference in the lives of children with ASD. Rocha, whose personal experience with the scarcity of therapists inspired the creation of Mylo, emphasized the company’s commitment to collaborating with speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and medical professionals to ensure the app caters to the specific needs of children on the spectrum.
“Being part of Echelon’s TOP100 Growth Program is an ‘ausome’ opportunity for Mylo Speech Buddy and for my fellow autism parents,” said Rocha. “This opportunity provides us with unparalleled access to investors and mentors who can help us scale our impact.” The company aims to leverage the resources and guidance provided by the TOP100 program to further its mission of supporting children with ASD and speech delays, helping them transition from zero words to their first spoken word.
The selection for the TOP100 program marks a significant milestone for the young startup, which has already garnered recognition as a finalist in the 9th season of CNN Philippines’ “The Final Pitch” and the PLDT and Smart Startup Innovation Challenge. The company’s participation in Echelon X and the subsequent selection for the TOP100 program underscore its potential for growth and impact in the healthtech sector.
