THE Asian Gymnastics Union has formally notified the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines that Carlos Yulo, Aleah Finnegan and Kylee Kvamme have qualified for the 42nd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Sept. 30 to Oct. 8 in Antwerp, Belgium.
“Dear President, further to the AGU Continental Championships (Singapore, SGP), we have the pleasure to inform the following MAG all-around quota place for the 52nd FIG Artistic Gymnastics in accordance with 2023 FIG Technical Regulations,” the AGU wrote GAP president Cynthia Carrion last Tuesday.
Yulo, who emerged as runner-up anew in the men’s individual all-around on top of three golds and one bronze medal in the Asian meet, was on top of the list of six male qualifiers who punched tickets to the worlds.
The others were Vietnam’s Liuong Van Vi, Chinese-Taipei’s Cheng Yeh and Chin Kai-lee, Malaysia’s Lukman Al Haliz Zulfa and Mongolia’s Usukbhayar Erkhembayar.
