CHOCO Mucho’s season-ending run in the PVL All-Filipino Conference would not have been possible without the guidance of Flying Titans coach Dante Alinsunurin, according to MVP Cherry Ann Rondina and middle blocker Maddie Madayag.
“Kung may MVP man po, ito po ay para kay coach Dante. Nagpapasalamat po talaga kami sa kanya dahil sa sistema at programa niya,” Rondina said of the former national team coach who piloted the men’s volleyball team to a silver medal finish in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Added Madayag: “Grabe lang talaga iyong tiwala ni coach Dante and iyon nga mas mayroon na kaming relationship with them, the players and the coaches and mas kaya na naming makipag-usap sa kanila if ever mayroon kaming concerns or mayroon kaming gustong itanong lang.
“Mas gusto na namin iyong relationship ng team the whole team itself because everybody’s okay na.”
In his maiden year with Choco Mucho, steered the team to its first finals stint.
The Flying Titans bagged the silver medal after finishing seventh in the last Invitational Conference.
Back in August, Alinsunurin also led Choco Mucho to the bronze in the 2023 VTV Cup in Vietnam.
