JULIE Anne San Jose is thankful that “Breathe,” the first leg of her “Limitless” trilogy concert set in Mindanao, got positive feedback. Now, the second leg of the trilogy, “Heal,” will be shown on November 20 and this time it’s set in the mysterious island of Siquijor in the Visayas.
“I’m still overwhelmed by the great reviews we got from ‘Breathe’,” she said. “I’m sure all the more that viewers would like ‘Heal’ kasi mas kakaiba ang vibe nito. My special guests are Rayver Cruz, my ‘The Clash’ co-host and Jessica Villarubin, Clash Season 3 winner.”
In “Breathe,” she was shown playing the guitar. What will she do now in “Heal”?
“This time, I will play the piano, but kakaiba siya kasi I will play it in the middle of a sandbar. Mas may energy ang ‘Heal’ but full of mystery, just like the island of Siquijor. For the number, we had to carry the piano to the sandbar. Mga sampung tao ang bumuhat para dalhin ito doon. Then we have to race against time, kailangang matapos kami bago mag-sundown at nang hindi kami abutan ng high tide. It’s a different kind of experience, but when you get to watch it, ang ganda. Worth it lahat ng pagod namin. Ang tagal kong ‘di nakapunta ng dagat, so na-miss ko talaga. ‘Breathe’ was set sa bundok where you can breathe fresh air. ‘Heal’ is sa dagat where water is the chief element so very therapeutic talaga.”
So how does she heal? “Healing is a process. Hindi naman parang magic ‘yan na sa isang pitik lang, ay, healed na ako. Healing is important in our life kasi you acknowledge the events in your life that hinder you to move forward and feel better. The first concert is ‘Breathe’ kasi taking a deep breathe is always the first step, we pause, and then we face the issues in our life and that’s how we heal. Very timely ang healing lalo na in this pandemic. We want people to feel to be able to relate with it and also show the beauty of our country, also send a message of hope na matatapos din lahat ng ito.”
Julie Anne’s journey continues with “Limitless Part 2: Heal” on November 20, tickets at gmanetwork.com/synergy, priced at P599 (General Admission); P999 (Synergy Pass GA); P1,199 (VIP); P2,199 (Synergy Pass VIP); and P2,799 (Synergy Pass Premium). ‘Basta ang rule naman ng mama and papa ko is, if I’m interested in a girl, dapat iko-court ko talaga, so that’s what I’m doing now — Mavy Legaspi’
KYLINE ALCANTARA and MAVY LEGASPI
Mavy Legaspi is understandably excited over “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.”
“It’s my first teleserye and also my first time na mapalayo ako ng matagal sa family ko while we’re doing lock in taping in Sorsogon,” he said. “I haven’t really travelled around the Philippines so excited ako. But since first time ko to be away from her, so umiyak mom ko as I was leaving. I told her, let go mo na ako. I built a new family sa taping with our Sorsogon team.”
So how is it working with Heart and their co-stars? “It’s an honor to work with Ate Heart Evangelista and Kuya Paolo Contis. Si Kuya Richard Yap naman, friends ko mga anak niya so kilala ko na siya. Noong una intimidated ako working with them, but I enjoyed it as the taping went on kasi they even acted as my mentor.”
He’s paired with Kyline Alcantara. So what’s the real score between them now? “Three years na kaming friends sa Sunday show pa ng GMA noon. Siempre may feelings na nade-develop. Basta ang rule naman ng mama and papa ko is, if I’m interested in a girl, dapat iko-court ko talaga, so that’s what I’m doing now.”
How is it so far? “Her fans, the Sunflowers, are very welcoming. Pag may photo sila ni Kyline, they always tag me sa Instagram and I’m glad that happy ang fans niya for us and they are all excited na panoorin ang show namin.”
In an interview with her in “Mars Pa More,” Mavy’s mom Carmina Villaroel was asked if she’d approve of Kyline if her love team with Mavy will be not just on but also off cam.
“Oo,” she replied. “Ang bilis kong sumagot ng oo, kasi alam kong I am super sure. Super friends and barkada talaga sila and that’s a good foundation. I’ve worked with Kyline in a teleserye at mabait siyang bata.”
So it looks like there will be no obstacles if and when Mavy and Kyline would make their relationship formal as Mavy is also very close to the parents of Kyline.
