SEN. Bong Revilla is back as Maj. Gabriel Labrador of Task Force Kalikasan in “Agimat ng Agila.” The first season was a big hit so we now have Season 2, to start on January 29, 7:15 p.m., directed by Rico Gutierrez. How different is it from the first one?
“Mas ma-action ito. We felt we have to surpass Season 1,” said Sen. Bong. “‘Yun talaga ang inambisyon namin. We’re glad very supportive ang GMA na mas pinalaki ito. We really focused on the action sequences, mas maraming explosions, parang pelikula ang treatment ni Direk Rico.”
He had to prepare hard for Season 2. “We now have more scenes na hand to hand combat, mas maraming physical action so I have to be very fit. I work out almost everyday. May training ako sa boxing, stretching and rolling. We’re not getting any younger at mga bata ang kasama ko, so kailangang magpakitang gilas tayo. I really feel like I’m just 35 years old. Ako mismo gumawa ng stunts ko. At kapag nasasaktan ako, mga siko ko at tuhod ko, puro gasgas, puro pasa, mas malakas ang feeling ko na magki-click kami sa viewers. Siempre, nandun pa rin ang core advocacy values ng show tungkol sa pag-aalaga sa kalikasan at pagtatanggol sa mga naaapi.”
He has two leading ladies, Sanya Lopez and Miss Philippines Universe 2020, Rabiya Mateo.
“Si Sanya, superstar na ngayon and we’re very happy for her,” says Sen. Bong. “Na-feel ko agad noon pa man na may kemistri kami ni Sanya and na-predict naming she’ll be a big star.”
How is it working with Rabiya? “She’s new but she’s a good actress. I don’t want to compare her to Sanya, but I can see malayo rin ang mararating niya. Magaling siya sa stunts, matapang. Serious sa craft niya. Memorized niya nga pati ang lines ko. Magandang simula ito para sa acting career niya.”

Louise De Los Reyes played supporting roles in her last screen outings, the TV series “Encounter” and the movie “Housemaid.” Now, she is back to playing a starring title role in Vivamax’ sexy domestic drama, “The Wife,” streaming on February 11. This is written and directed by Denise O’Hara, a niece of the late filmmaker Mario O’Hara.
“I enjoyed my role as ‘The Wife,’ ang bigat at na-stretch talaga ang emotions ko kasi halos lahat ng eksena, very demanding,” she said. “But I gave it my all, my 100 percent.
Thankful ako na si Direk Denise helped me. Magaan siyang katrabaho and really guides you. We shot the film on location in Baguio at lagi kaming maaga natatapos.”
In the story, she is married to Diego Loyzaga, who has an affair with his old friend, played by Cara Gonzales. Discovering her husband’s philandering really crushed her.
“I’m grateful na very supportive din lahat ng kaeksena ko in every scene. When I saw the trailer pa lang, naiyak na ako. I was so touched sa mga eksena namin. Iba ang rapport namin ni Diego as mag-asawa to show our love for each other. Si Cara naman, parang hindi newbie. May nahuhugot din ako sa kanya mga eksena namin.”

‘We’re glad to see him active once again as no one can contest his acting talent.’
The last movie Sid Lucero did is “Smaller and Smaller Circles” where he played a priest in 2017. He was more active on TV, like in the recent “The World Between Us.” Now, he is in the cast of two new Vivamax films, “Reroute” and “Silip sa Apoy.”

We’re glad to see him active once again as no one can contest his acting talent. Early on in his career, he already won several best actor awards for “Selda” and “Muli.” In “Reroute,” a suspense-thriller, he plays Dan, the husband of Cindy Miranda. They play a married couple having problems in their relationship. When his father in the province gets sick, they have to go home and they hope that during their road trip, they will be able to iron out their differences.
“But something else happens along the way,” said Sid. “There’s a roadblock and soldiers told us to take another route. Then our car breaks down and we meet a farmer who offers to help us out, si John Arcilla as Gemmo. He takes us to his house and we didn’t know he and his wife, Natalie Hart, have a dark secret and our lives ni Cindy will be put in great danger so we have to fight back to survive.”
In “Silip sa Apoy,” he plays Ben, a taxi driver who brutally beats up his wife, Angeli Khang, whenever he gets drunk. He is the most experienced member of the cast in this movie as Angeli and their other co-stars, Paolo Gumabao and Jela Cuenca, are all newbies in showbiz compared to him who first acted in 2006 in the movie “Donsol,” for which he won a best new movie actor award. What can he say about his neophyte co-stars?
“They’re all wonderful to work with,” he said. “I might be the most senior among them but I treat them as my equals. I don’t go there sa set na ang feeling ko, magaling ako. For me, working in a film is always a team effort.”
“Reroute” now streams on
Vivamax while “Silip sa Apoy” will start streaming on January 28.
