FILIPINO faithful will have the opportunity to venerate the relic known as the “True Cross of our Lord” at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros beginning today, Wednesday, until Sunday.
In a social media post, the Manila Cathedral announced the exposition of the relic of the “True Cross” and added it will be open to the public.
“The precious relic of the True Cross of our Lord, enshrined on the Jubilee 2000 Cross at the Cathedral, will be exposed for the veneration of the public starting tomorrow, Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross followed by the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows, until Sunday,” said the Manila Cathedral.
Holy Masses will also be held today at 7:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. for the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
There will also be a Holy Mass tomorrow, Thursday, for the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows at 7:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.
The relic of the “True Cross” is a piece of the exact cross where Jesus Christ offered His life and was discovered by St. Helena.
