ANTI-ILLEGAL drugs agents on Monday afternoon seized 38 kilos of suspected shabu worth P258.4 million in the condo unit and vehicle of a Chinese man who was arrested in Paranaque City for possession of 38 kilos of suspected shabu last June 13.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency chief Wilkins Villanueva said his men, in coordination with local police units, served two search warrants, one in parking slot 64 of Royal Plaza Twin Towers on Remedios St., Malate, Manila and another at Unit 1605 also of Royal Plaza Twin Towers.

Villanueva said 23 kilos of suspected shabu valued at P156.4 million were discovered inside a Toyota Grandia (NDA-5174) reportedly owned by Zhizun Chen that was parked in Slot 64.

Another team searched Unit 1605 of Royal Plaza Twin Towers being rented by Zhizun and found 15 more kilos of suspected shabu worth P102 million, various drug paraphernalia, a brick of suspected hashish, 10 liters of a still undetermined liquid, and three cellphones.

Zhizun, who uses the aliases Yu Sison Tabuen and Ryan Chen, was first arrested at the parking lot of a supermarket in Paranaque City when he delivered a kilo of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer last June 13. A search of Zhizun’s vehicle yielded 37 more kilos of suspected shabu.

Zhizun is detained at the PDEA Regional NCR office in Quezon City.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Mandaluyong City on Monday, with P11,220 worth of suspected dangerous drugs seized.
