TWO suspected illegal drug dealers were arrested and 1.51 kilos of shabu worth P10.26 million were seized in separate operations in Cavite and Laguna last Saturday, it was reported yesterday.
One of the suspects, described as a high-value individual in the continuing war against drugs, was identified as Juliet Reyes, a resident of Magalang, Pampanga.
The Cavite Provincial Police Office said Reyes was nabbed by PNP and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Silang Crossing East in Tagaytay City early last Saturday.
Seized from Reyes was 760 grams of shabu worth P5.16 million.
Reyes’ cohort, identified as AJ Muñoz, was able to escape. Police said operations are ongoing for the immediate arrest of Muñoz
In Laguna, PDEA and PNP operatives nabbed Joemar Demandante, 40, of Ayala Southville Village, Almanza Uno in Las Piñas City last Saturday night.
PDEA-Calabarzon said Demandante was nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Sta. Rosa City. He yielded 750 grams of shabu worth P5.1 million.
