No Pinoy casualty in NY shooting

NO Filipino was among the casualties in a mass shooting incident in a supermarket in Buffalo, New York Saturday that left 10 people dead and three wounded, Philippine Consul General to New York Elmer Cato said yesterday.

Cato said there are 540 Filipinos living and working in Buffalo.

US authorities said 10 people died and three others were injured when an 18-year-old gunman fired shots at the Tops Friendly Market supermarket in Buffalo, New York at 2:30 p.m. Saturday (New York time).

Of those shot, 11 were Blacks and two were whites.

Police arrested the suspect identified as Payton Gendron and charged him with murder before a local court.
