MALACANANG yesterday released the latest set of appointments and promotions in the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Armed Forces (AFP).
The Presidential Communications Office (PCO), in a Facebook post, said President Marcos Jr. promoted BJMP Director for personnel and records management Milet Batac to the next higher rank, or jail chief superintendent, last April 13.
Also promoted were 201st Infantry Brigade commander Erwin Alea and 502nd Infantry Brigade commander Eugene Mata, who now both hold the rank of brigadier general.
The President also appointed Karen Alvarez as assistant secretary in the PCO while Jonathan Ian Gonzales and Jonathan Jalbuna were appointed as Director II last February 20.
PCO also said that Executive Secretary Lucas Bersain yesterday administered the oath of office to lawyer Hilario Bringas Paredes as acting member of the Board of Directors of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and businessman Dale Brian Tee Go as acting member of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).
The appointment of the two acting board members was announced last week.
