THE Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has ordered the institutionalization of coffee spaces for overseas Filipino workers, in its offices and those of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), nationwide.

The “Migrants Brew” will be “a cafe space that provides more comfortable accommodations for migrant workers visiting the DMW and OWWA offices,” the agency said adding free Filipino delicacies, aside from coffee, will be served to OFWs with pending transactions with the agencies.

The DMW said expansion of the Migrant’s Brew seeks to provide OFWs and families with service beyond the usual client-government transactions.

It also said all Migrant’s Brew spaces will have a uniform look of earth tones and warm wood with Filipino design accents, and will be manned by service crew members to be composed of job order personnel from OWWA.

To recall, the Migrant’s Brew was first established at the OWWA Central Office in Pasay City in November 2022.
