AN hour-long fire that razed a house in San Mateo, Rizal, killed a 60-year-old woman along with her daughter and son-in-law early before dawn yesterday.
The fire broke out at around 2 a.m. in the two-story house where the fatalities were trapped.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the bodies of the victims were retrieved from their house in Barangay Ampid I, San Mateo, Rizal, were burnt almost beyond recognition.
The 64-year-old husband of the grandmother survived by jumping from the terrace. He is now under observation at an undisclosed hospital.
The fire reached the first alarm before it was put out.
The cause of the fire and the estimate of property damage are still under investigation
