AUTHORITIES arrested a flower shop owner who sold three kilos of shabu worth P20.4 million to a poseur buyer in Talisay City, Cebu last Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported yesterday.
The suspect, identified only as alias Ann, 36, a resident of Talisay City, faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, specifically for sale and possession of illegal drugs.
Personnel from PDEA 7, PNP Drug Enforcement Group 7 and Navy Forces Central nabbed Ann at 2:55 p.m. on R. Rabaya Street in Barangay Cansojong.
She was accosted shortly after selling shabu to a poseur buyer in a buy-bust operation.
Also seized from her were the buy-bust money, two smartphones, several identification cards, automated teller machine cards and transaction notes.
A day earlier, PDEA and PNP operatives arrested two other drug dealers during a similar buy-bust operation in Barangay 478 in Sampaloc, Manila.
The two were identified as Ellaine, 35, and Yuan, 21, both of Sampaloc, Manila.
Seized from them was a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million.
They are also facing charges of sale and possession of illegal drugs, PDEA said.
Police seized over P1 million worth of suspected dangerous drugs and a firearm and arrested three persons in a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal last Saturday.
Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo, the new Rizal provincial police office (PPO) director, identified the suspects as aliases Mark, John, and Aries, all of legal age.
Seized from them were five sachets containing more or less 150 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P1,020,000; drug paraphernalia like a weighing scale, and a .22 revolver with two bullets. – With Christian Oineza
