THE Supreme Court yesterday released the list of local testing centers (LTCs) for this year’s Bar examination, which will be held in September.
In Metro Manila, the LTCs will be located at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, University of Sto. Tomas, San Beda University, Manila Adventist College, San Beda College-Alabang, and University of the Philippines-Bonifacio Global City campus in Taguig City.
Outside of Metro Manila, the SC said the LTCs will be in the University of Nueva Caceres in Naga City, Saint Louis University in Baguio City, University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City, Central Philippine University in Iloilo City, Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation in Tacloban City, Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City, and Ateneo de Davao University.
“In the process of venue assignment, the Court considered the examinees’ preference of LTCs subject to availability of slots,” the SC said in a Bar bulletin signed by Associate Justice and 2024 Bar Exams Committee Chairperson Mario Lopez.
Earlier, the SC said 12,186 aspiring lawyers have applied to take this year’s Bar examinations.
The Bar exams will be held on September 8, 11, and 15.
Last year, 10,387 took the Bar exams but only 3,812 completed the tests. The Bar exams were topped by University of Sto. Tomas law graduate Ephraim Porciuncula Bie with a score of 89. 2625 percent.
