Myrna Esguerra, a law student from Abra, won the Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 title during the grand coronation held last Sunday, July 7, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
At 22 years old, Esguerra made history as the first from her province to win the title and will represent the Philippines at the Miss International 2025 pageant in Japan. She also brought home the Best in Swimsuit, Best in Long Gown, Binibining Pilipinas Urban Smiles, and Binibining Philippine Airline awards.
Jasmin Bungay, 27, from Pampanga, was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2024 and will compete at the Miss Globe 2024 in Albania. Christal Jean de la Cruz of Zambales and Trisha Martinez of Pila, Laguna, were named first and second runners-up, respectively.
The 60th edition of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant featured renowned beauty queens Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray. International titleholders Melanie Marquez, Bea Santiago, Kylie Verzosa, Mutya Datul, and Cindy Obeñita also attended, along with current Miss International Andrea Rubio from Venezuela, who served as a judge.
The coronation night was hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves, who hosted the finals night for the fourth consecutive year, along with Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, and Miss World 1993 2nd runner-up Ruffa Gutierrez.
The entertainment was provided by Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano, as well as the popular P-pop group SB19.
The all-female judging panel was composed of Conchitina Sevilla-Bernardo, Beautederm CEO Rhea Tan, Alas Pilipinas volleyball player Fifi Sharma, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, and Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio.
