FIVE Chinese and their Filipino cohort suspected of kidnapping were nabbed by authorities in an entrapment operation in a Parañaque City hotel last Monday.
B/Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, Southern Police District director, identified the suspects as Hu Yang, 34; Zhang Jie, 28; Cen Sha Lu, 28; Shen Fa, 27; and Han Xun, 33, and their Filipino accomplice as Hazel Cotaco, 37.
Macaraeg said the six abducted another Chinese, identified as Shaomen Hu, 25, at the Monarch Parksuites, a hotel in Paranaque, last January 3 at 4 a.m. and was held captive at an unknown place.
“At about 11 a.m. of same date, Jie Sun, 25, interpreter and witness of the complainant, residing at Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque received messages thru WeChat coming from the suspects that the victim was kidnapped and asking for ransom amounting to P700,000 for the liberty of the victim,” Macaraeg said.
