Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering stable and efficient electricity service through strategic investments and local government partnerships.
During the Capampangan in Media, Inc. (CAMI) Forum in Clark, Pampanga, Meralco executives outlined initiatives designed to improve power service reliability and support economic growth. The company is actively engaging with local government units (LGUs) to explore collaborative opportunities with electric cooperatives.
A key example of Meralco’s strategic approach is its co-management of Pampanga Electric Cooperative II (PELCO II). The partnership has already yielded significant improvements in customer service, with a new 20-megavolt ampere (MVA) substation planned for energization early next year. PELCO II has also recently acquired a mobile substation to enhance power supply in its service area.
Meralco’s efforts extend beyond infrastructure, focusing on powering economic development and improving community livelihoods through reliable electricity infrastructure.
