Global education leaders unite at SISFU’s International University Fair

SISFU drew more than 400 registrants to its second International University Fair February 8-9 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. The “Global Minds Unite”event, supported by ANZCHAM Philippines and the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines, showcased international universities and educational opportunities.

The fair featured SISFU’s foreign university partners, including De Montfort University, Pearson UK, Swiss Hotel Management School, and eight other prestigious institutions. Educational consultants from Deakin University, AECC Philippines, and several visa assistance agencies provided guidance to prospective students.

British Council representatives highlighted the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), detailing its importance for study, work, and migration opportunities abroad.

De Montfort University faculty members Dr. Kevin Roe and Ed Thompson emphasized transnational education’s impact on improving lives while SISFU’s Dean of Academics and Director of Strategy and Partnerships Daniel Steel outlined programs offering international credentials within the Philippines.

Star Magic artist and SISFU ambassador Maxine Trinidad shared her experience balancing education with entertainment career goals. The 2-day event featured performances by SISFU ambassador Janine Teñoso and included Philippine Airlines ticket raffles. Representatives from the Southville Global Education Network’s six member institutions also participated.

SISFU, the Philippines’ transnational education pioneer, operates from its campus at Lima corner Luxembourg Streets, BF International, Las Piñas City. The institution maintains partnerships with global universities while upholding international academic standards.
