UK revives fest as export hits £2B

The United Kingdom is reviving the Great British Festival in the Philippines after four years of absence to further strengthen UK exports to the country which has reached 2.1 billion pounds in 2022.

Chris Nelson, chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, said in a television interview 36 companies in finance, retail, education, food and beverage, automotive and general business will participate in the GBF to be held on March 25 to 26 in various venues across the country.

“Th(e festival) will reinforce the presence of British companies, brands (in the Philippines)…reinforce the 77 years of relations between the two countries. We ( are) looking forward to taking trade and investment to further heights, “ said Nelson.

He added: “We have a wide range of British companies which are here today doing business. We have other brands that are coming in.”
