Flag carrier Philippines Airlines (PAL) is set to launch new services that will continue to strengthen its cargo business this year.
Capt. Stanley Ng, PAL president and chief operating officer, said the airline will soon roll out its new Port-to-Door service that will address the demand of small and medium-size enterprise (SME) customers.
“We continue to strengthen our cargo business, which helped keep us afloat during the pandemic. We will soon roll out a new feature called Port-to-Door service where cargo customers can have their shipments delivered to them. Hassle-free! We are proud of this innovation because it will be very useful for SMEs. This will make shipment and last-mile delivery seamless and convenient,” Ng said during PAL’s recent event.
Last year, PAL started the trial run for a last-mile cargo delivery service for inbound shipments to Manila.
PAL had said it is collaborating with a logistics company for the initial phase of this service.
