Local renewable energy (RE) developer Raslag Corp. is preparing for its expansion outside Pampanga.
Peter Nepomuceno, Raslag founder, said the company is negotiating for a 30-hectare property in Hermosa, Bataan as well as in Zambales.
Raslag has two solar farms in Pampanga, the 10.046 megawatt-peak (MWp) RASLAG-1 and the 13.141 MWp RASLAG-2 that are benefitting from feed-in-tariff with a base rate of P9.68 per kilowatt hour (kWh) and P8.69 per kWh, respectively.
“ In getting land for solar, (it should) not just (be) plain land, it has to be land that has access to NGCP (National Grid Corporation of the Philippines) facilities so that you can connect… If you’re too far from the NGCP facilities or (if they) are not available, the land you bought cannot be used for solar,” Nepomuceno said, in an online briefing last week.
