PLDT Inc. has renewed its partnership with France-based Orange International Carriers for a second year to enhance its international voice services.
Under this partnership, PLDT and Orange are working together to ensure that Filipinos overseas and enterprise customers get superior quality calls to the Philippines.
“This collaboration is part of PLDT Group’s broader program to deliver the best experience for our customers both here in the Philippines and overseas,” said Katrina Luna-Abelarde, head of PLDT-Smart International and carrier business and strategic partnerships.
Last year, PLDT and Orange worked on implementing multi-layer security and anti-fraud solutions to increase the quality and security of calls alongside the broader regional coverage for traffic collection and aggregation.
Now on its second year of partnership, PLDT and Orange continue to ensure the best user experience for international calls by guaranteeing network security and resiliency, and more aggressive partnership programs for traffic collection.
In a related development, PLDT said it is ramping up efforts to upgrade more customers from copper connection to fiber through a special “Fiber Barangay” program which started last April.
Through the program, PLDT said it has so far fully migrated 31 barangays across the country from copper to fiber, providing resilient digital connectivity and superior customer experience.
Barangays in Baguio, Bicol, Bulacan, Cagayan, General Santos, Ilocos, Negros, North Manila, South Manila and Quezon are now fully migrated to fiber, the most reliable and fastest internet connectivity by far.
