THE complete organizational structure of the Maharlika Investment Corp. (MIC) could be finalized by early next year, according to the Governance Commission for Government-owned and -controlled corporations (GCG).

Marius Corpus, GCG chairperson, told reporters at the sidelines of the GCG Awards Ceremony in Pasay City on Monday the interim staffing pattern has been approved by the President with respect to non-highly technical positions plus their compensation.

“What we are trying to finalize now, I think there is a meeting tomorrow, the guidelines for the highly technical positions and their compensation,” Corpus said.

According to the Maharlika Law, the Maharlika board will determine which positions are highly technical and even their compensation.

“The President has instructed us to coordinate with Maharlika to come up with the guidelines,” Corpus said.

“There are now 42 positions, non-highly technical positions that have been approved,” he added. Asked when the entire organizational structure will be completed and approved, Corpus said it is possible by next year.
