THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – IX is set to conduct a public consultation on October 2 in Zamboanga City as part of its ongoing wage review process for the Zamboanga Peninsula.
In its notice to the public, the Zamboanga Peninsula wage board said it would hold wage consultation for workers and management in private establishments at the Grand Astoria Hotel in Zamboanga City.
“The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-IX is set to conduct a region-wide wage consultation to gather inputs from stakeholders on wage-related matters affecting the region,” said the Zamboanga Peninsula wage board.
It said consultation for the labor sector is set from 9 a.m. to noon, while the one for the management sector will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Zamboanga Peninsula wage board urged concerned stakeholders to participate in the activity, saying: “We encourage all concerned parties to actively participate in this important event, as your insights will serve as valuable contributions to the wage board’s deliberations.”
It said those looking to participate may register at https://bit.ly/2024wagecon, while participants outside Zamboanga City may join virtually through Facebook Live.
The last wage order issued by the Zamboanga Peninsula wage board took effect in November 2023.
Wage Order No. RBIX-22 set the minimum wage rate in Zamboanga Peninsula from P368 to P381.
