The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, the marketing and promotions arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT), proudly announces the 15th run of the Regional Travel Fair (RTF). The first installment of this biannual fair will be held in Tuguegarao City, the capital of Cagayan province, from August 15 to 17, 2025.
The RTF invites tourism stakeholders and travel enthusiasts to explore the untapped potential of Northeastern Luzon. By showcasing Region 2–a land rich in history and scenic landscapes that connect the lowlands of Luzon with the highlands of the Cordilleras–this event supports the DOT’s goal of equalizing tourism.
As part of TPB and DOT’s initiative, 50 buyers and 53 sellers/exhibitors will participate in the Business-to-Business (B2B) session of the RTF at the Pulsar Hotel and Convention Center on August 15. This session will gather industry representatives from hotels, airlines, tour operators, and provincial tourism offices for a structured networking session with buyers. It also gives stakeholders the opportunity to develop new product offerings through collaborations with partners from Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.
Afterward, the Business-to-Consumer (B2C) sessions will take place at Robinsons Tuguegarao from August 16 to 17. These sessions offer discounted domestic tour packages, airline tickets, accommodations, and other tourism-related products. Visitors will also get to enjoy cultural performances, join interactive games, and watch presentations from event sponsors and DOT regional offices.
“We are proud to bring the 15th Regional Travel Fair to Tuguegarao City, a place that naturally captivates with its breathtaking landscapes and deep-rooted traditions,” said TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. “This event continues to inspire local and global travelers to celebrate the enduring beauty and cultural richness of our country. Through this initiative, we hope to strengthen regional pride and empower tourism stakeholders by bringing attention to the distinct experiences that make Tuguegarao City truly special.”
The TPB has also organized local tours for buyers, exhibitors, and invited sponsors to visit Tuguegarao City’s heritage landmarks, such as the Cagayan Museum, Historical Research Center, Horno Ruins, and St. Peter Metropolitan Cathedral. Likewise, they will be equally immersed in the region’s natural beauty through visits to the Callao Cave and the Pinacanauan River. These tours aim to help stakeholders discover destinations they can promote to tourists.
This exciting fair is a testament to the Tourism Promotions Board’s commitment to boosting domestic tourism and introducing new travel experiences for Filipinos. In line with this mission, TPB invites everyone to experience the majestic charm of Northeastern Luzon and enjoy the best travel deals at the 15th Regional Travel Fair from August 16 to 17 at Robinsons Tuguegarao.
