The Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC) recently received new high-tech medical equipment from the Okada Foundation Inc. (OFI). The donation is part of OFI’s P500 million commitment to the Department of Health (DOH).
The foundation donated two state-of-the-art medical devices to the hospital, namely the Robotic Gait Trainer with Orthosis (Lokomat) and the Arm and Hand Exoskeleton Robotic Trainer (Armeo Spring).
Dr. Raul Cembrano, Chief of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, anticipated that both rehabilitation machines will help treat at least 16 patients per day on their recovery journey. He also pointed out that rehabilitation is more than just a physical endeavor, so help from different sectors is always welcome and appreciated.
