Newport World Resorts, with the support of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), makes a generous contribution to the Philippine National Police (PNP) by equipping its force with new patrol motorcycles, as well as fuel and maintenance funds. The newly acquired assets amounting to P10 million will be used to enhance patrolling efforts and increase police visibility in the Pasay-Parañaque area.
“This is part of a bigger project, together with our industry counterparts in the Entertainment City to equip our local police force, so they can better serve and protect our communities, especially in the Pasay-Paranaque area. We are honored to do our share,” Newport World Resorts President and CEO Kingson Sian noted.
Newport World Resorts handed over 18 units of Honda CB500F big bikes and provided additional funds to cover its fuel and maintenance expenses. The patrol vehicles are intended to ramp up the operational capacities of the PNP, particularly in Pasay City and Parañaque City, where the integrated resorts’ community is located.
“This donation signifies more than the mere transfer of material resources. It represents a robust alliance between the private sector, represented by Newport World Resorts Foundation Inc., the gaming industry under the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, and the Philippine National Police,” PNP Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. shared.
