Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) is expanding its operation in Cebu with the scheduled launch in April of direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the first time an airline connects passengers from Central Visayas directly to Vietnam.
Starting April 7, 2025, CEB will operate non-stop flights from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh City three times a week — every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
“As Vietnam continues to grow in popularity among Filipino travelers, launching a new gateway to the country via Ho Chi Minh City is an exciting step for Cebu Pacific. We look forward to offering travelers from Cebu the chance to explore a new destination more seamlessly, and to welcoming more international visitors to discover the Philippines,” said Xander Lao, CEB president and chief commercial officer, in a statement Thursday.
From February 20 to 24, CEB travelers may book flights from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh City for as low as P1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges. The travel period will run from April 7 to July 31, 2025.
Passengers may use their existing Travel Funds to book flights and avail themselves of other add-ons. CEB also offers other payment options, including credit or debit cards and e-wallets.
With flights to Ho Chi Minh City now made more accessible, travelers coming from Cebu can look forward to exploring the historic CuChi Tunnels, savoring authentic Vietnamese street food at Ben Thanh Market, and sending postcards to loved ones from the Saigon Central Post Office.
CEB currently flies to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
Aside from Vietnam, CEB is also scheduled to launch flights between Iloilo and Bangkok-Don Mueang and direct flights from Clark to El Nido and Coron (Busuanga) next month.
Last January, CEB started operating flights from Manila to Sapporo, Japan.
