ON America’s Independence Day, Chevrolet Philippines will launch the 2024 New Generation Trax. The new generation model will be bigger and beefier with significant increases in vehicle dimensions and roomier cabin as well as a new powertrain from GM’s line of new generation engines and technology.
The new-gen model is now a crossover SUV.
It is 279mm longer and 51mm wider than the previous model, offering greater space for 5 passengers and cargo of up to 1405L. Customers will get to maximize the comfort of a compact car with utility of an SUV in three variants: LT, Redline and RS.Now powered by a rigid and lightweight 1.2L E-Turbo GM Prime 3-cylinder engine mated to a proven Gen III 6-speed automatic transmission, excellent power-on-demand and outstanding fuel efficiency can be expected.
It introduces a bolder and a more athletic look with the latest Chevrolet global design applied in the exterior. Refined body contours and swept-back lines emphasize the wide and muscular physique of the 2024 Trax. The modern take on signature Chevy design cues in the fascia, updated all LED lighting elements across all variants, and unique wheel design also perfectly accentuate the overall character of the vehicle.
More refined touches and tech upgrades are exhibited in the spacious interior of the New Generation Trax. The cabin is styled with a low instrument panel, accentuated by sweeping lines and design cues that emphasize the width, allowing better outward visibility and added sense of roominess in the vehicle.
At the centerpiece, a large floating infotainment system with Smart Phone Integration is conveniently canted towards the driver — the LT features an 8-inch touchscreen, while the Redline and RS have an 11-inch touchscreen and 8-inch full digital driver information center.
