Sherwin Pelayo, Executive Director of the Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines, inspired attendees with his talk on leveraging AI and analytics for business growth. He encouraged businesses to view AI as an ally rather than a threat.

The morning’s highlight was a panel discussion titled “Thriving in Bagong Pilipinas: Lessons from MSME Champions.” Moderated by John Kennedy Villanueva from PTTC and Ms. Neri Tenorio, Editor-in-Chief of Malaya Business Insight, the panel featured Josefina Rojo-Natividad, President & COO of Iskaparate; Sonia Tiong-Aquino, former Deputy Executive Director of UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries; and Daianne Moreno-Mempin, Creative Social Entrepreneur of Katha Pilipinas. When asked about advice for MSMEs aiming to thrive in a Bagong Pilipinas, the panelists shared valuable insights on resilience, innovation, and collaboration. They emphasized the importance of adaptability, strategic partnerships, and embracing technology to drive success.

In the afternoon, PTTC continued its yearly tradition of #TrainingForNationBuilding, offering free simultaneous learning sessions in collaboration with partners. These sessions covered essential topics such as Human Capital Development, Business Development, Financial Literacy, and Export Strategies for MSMEs. PTTC opened its doors to showcase its premier facilities, providing a glimpse into its operational spaces. Hands-on learning sessions were also conducted, including Canva essentials at Ensayo Creative Hub, crafting and production with DIGIFAB Shared Service Facility, and mobile photography in Studio 1300. These interactive sessions equipped participants with practical skills to enhance their business operations, aligning with PTTC’s mission to empower MSMEs through comprehensive training and capacity-building initiatives.

On the second day, an exclusive executive learning session was held at Concentrix in Ayala North Exchange. The session focused on developing customized training designs and modules for the BPO industry, aligning with the Philippine Skills Framework (PSF). The PSF is a comprehensive initiative designed to align educational and training programs with industry demands, ensuring that workers possess the necessary skills for professional growth and sector advancement. Facilitated by Raymond Cardiño, a PSF Advocate from PTTC, this hands-on workshop provided executives with the tools to create tailored training programs that meet the evolving needs of the BPO sector.
