MR.DIY captivates Sinulog 2025 with FAMILYHAN fun and festivities

CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES – Leading home improvement retailer MR.DIY made a vibrant impact at the Sinulog Festival 2025, delighting festival-goers with exciting activities centered around the FAMILYHAN theme.

As a Bronze Sponsor of the festival, MR.DIY embraced the theme “One Beat, One Dance, One Vision” to celebrate Cebuano culture and community spirit.

Celebrating Local Talent

In recognition of world-class Cebuano talent, Santander’s Crizalina “Zal” Cabanas was crowned MR.DIY Sinulog Idol 2025 and Season 16 Grand Champion. Cabanas captivated audiences with her musical expression and exceptional talent, earning her the top spot in the competition. Joining her were MR.DIY District Managers for Visayas, Mr. Eugene Ross Cuntapay and Mr. Joseph Alvarez, along with the MR.DIY Panda Mascot and Ms. Marla Papas, MR.DIY Integrated Marketing Communications Manager.

Beauty and Grace at Sinulog

MR.DIY also celebrated the festival’s beauty by crowning Ms. Nadine Faith McCoy as the MR.DIY Sinulog Queen 2025 on January 17. The beauty from Talisay City impressed audiences with her graceful performance, securing her position as the pageant’s 3rd Runner Up. Joining her were Area Managers for Visayas and MR.DIY Deputy Head of Marketing.

Interactive FAMILYHAN Fun

MR.DIY brought ultimate FAMILYHAN fun to Sinulog 2025 through interactive games during its Nightly Show at Fuente Osmeña. Festival-goers enjoyed games like “The Price is Right: Walay Hangyo Edition” and “Find Your FAMILYHAN Favorites,” winning their favorite MR.DIY products. Cebuana hit-maker Karencitta delivered an electrifying performance that added to the excitement.

Grand Parade Participation

The festivities continued with MR.DIY’s participation in the highly-anticipated Sinulog Grand Parade on January 19. The float, designed to resemble a MR.DIY store, symbolized the brand’s commitment to providing variety, value, and convenience as the go-to FAMILYHAN across Cebu and the Philippines. Adorned with colorful flowers celebrating unity and culture, it showcased how MR.DIY has captured Filipino hearts while embodying the vibrant spirit of Sinulog.

Cebuanos had access to their FAMILYHAN favorites through MR.DIY selling booths at Fuente Osmeña and Plaza Independencia—highlights for families enjoying the festivities. The booths offered essential Sinulog items while engaging customers in surprise Q&A sessions with local influencer David Cua.

As part of its Sinulog 2025 participation, MR.DIY launched a Mix and Match Promo in stores, allowing customers to enjoy fantastic deals on a wide range of products. Shoppers could win exciting prizes by playing the Mix and Match game with a minimum spend of PHP500.
