The Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has garnered significant recognition for its outstanding debit card products, securing prestigious awards from three different award-giving bodies.
RCBC Global Transaction Banking Group Head Martin Tirol said this remarkable achievement highlights the Yuchengco-led bank’s commitment to delivering innovative and customer-centric financial solutions.
RCBC’s Hexagon Club Priority has been acknowledged by Digital Banker 2023 as the Best Mass Affluent Bank Offering and Retail Banker Asia Trailblazer Awards 2024 for providing exceptional services tailored to the mass affluent segment.
RCBC Hexagon Club Priority offers a comprehensive suite of products and services addressing the financial needs of the mass affluent customers. Since the launch of the RCBC Hexagon Club Priority Debit Mastercard card, RCBC upgraded existing customers to the affluent segment and acquired new customers.
Simon Calasanz, Mastercard’s Country Manager for the Philippines, said, “The Hexagon Club Priority Debit Mastercard card is a result of RCBC and Mastercard’s joint effort to enhance experiences for RCBC’s valued customers. RCBC Hexagon Club Priority customers can now enjoy exclusive benefits and premiere perks locally and abroad through their Platinum Debit Mastercard card.”
Additionally, RCBC has generated an incremental average daily balance (ADB) of P1.3 billion from these upgraded and newly acquired mass affluent customers.
Meanwhile, RCBC also received the Best Debit Card Initiative of the Year award for its Wealth Platinum Debit Mastercard card from Asian Banking and Finance 2024.
It was in 2023 when RCBC, together with Mastercard, introduced a platinum debit card tailored for the bank’s wealth management customers that involved innovative features and benefits to cater to the unique needs and preferences of this high net worth segment.
According to the bank, the product launch has successfully acquired new debit card customers with 70 percent coming from the existing portfolio base, with combination of upgrade and conversion strategy, and 30 percent new to bank customers.
“These awards underscore RCBC’s dedication to advancing financial technology and providing top-tier products that meet the evolving needs of its clientele. The recognition from these esteemed organizations reflects the bank’s continuous efforts to set new standards in the banking industry,” Tirol pointed out.
