PUEBLO DE ORO Development Corp. (PDO), the residential development arm of the ICCP Group, announced the expansion of educational offerings by The Abba’s Orchard in its Montessori farm campus in Pueblo de Oro Townscapes Malvar in the province of Batangas.
The Abba’s Orchard, the country’s largest and authentic Montessori school, is slated to open its farm-based adolescent program in August at its farm campus in Pueblo de Oro Townscapes Malvar.
The school opened in Malvar, Batangas last August 2023 offering pre-school and lower elementary programs. The campus in Pueblo de Oro Townscapes Malvar is The Abba’s Orchard’s 14th location in the country.
Pueblo de Oro’s partnership with The Abba’s Orchard is a fulfillment of the vision of creating a true live-work-play-learn community for Pueblo de Oro Townscapes Malvar, a 42-hectare mix-use development.
Together with sister company Science Park of the Philippines (SPPI), Pueblo de Oro has developed a master-planned community that showcases exclusive subdivisions that offer high-quality and sustainable homes and are conveniently located near employment opportunities, commercial establishments, places of worship, and educational institutions such as The Abba’s Orchard.
A farm campus is Dr. Maria Montessori’s prepared environment for the adolescent. She called it the Erdkinder, German for “children of the earth.” A laboratory for life, the Erdkinder provides a “production and exchange” setting in a “work and study” curriculum that addresses the adolescent’s evolving sense of self-worth, collaboration, and mission.
