The Sta. Lucia Group led by publicly listed Sta Lucia Land has developed over 12,000 hectares into more than 300 projects across 70 cities and municipalities as of end 2024, the company said in a statement on February 12.
Last year, it spent P5.62 billion for capital expenditures, with P4.5 billion dedicated to project development and P1.12 billion earmarked for land acquisitions.
“This investment strategy highlighted the company’s focus on growth and its confidence in the robust demand within the real estate sector,” the group said.
Exequiel Robles, president of Sta. Lucia Land, said “one of the significant highlights of the company’s endeavors last year included the unveiling of El Sitio Nativo in Nasugbu, Batangas in May 2024.
“This exclusive coastal community, limited to just 92 lots, offers residents a blend of Filipino, Malay, Polynesian, and Pacific architectural designs, complemented by modern smart home features,” he added.
Robles said Sta. Lucia has also partnered with ARSM Land Inc. in February 2024 to develop a six-hectare mixed-use community in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
“In the hospitality sector, Sta. Lucia Land has been active with the opening of SotoGrande Palawan in Puerto Princesa City in November 2024. This 147-room hotel, which is managed by Enderun Hotels, caters to both corporate and leisure travelers, offering modern amenities and state-of-the-art function rooms,” Robles added.
Sta. Lucia Land said it expects capital spending this year to range between P3 billion and P5 billion.
Part of the planned spending will be used to fund the expansion of its landbank in areas like Laguna, Batangas, Bulacan, Davao and South Cotabato, the company said .
It also said it is pursuing joint venture agreements in Cavite, lloilo and Davao, aiming to develop contiguous lots and expand existing projects.
“We are optimistic about our prospects this 2025 as we continue to build across the country to address growing demand for communities beyond traditional city centers. This targeted expansion not only diversifies our portfolio but also positions us to deliver long-term value for our stakeholders while creating inviting spaces for families and individuals seeking a higher quality of life,” said Robles.
“This strategic expansion is also expected to drive a robust compound annual growth rate of 20 to 25 percent for its revenues, reinforcing Sta. Lucia’s long-term growth objectives,” he added.
