South Korean-led Hann Philippines Inc. said it is accelerating the development of its two integrated resort (IR)  projects in Central Luzon, in a bid to become a contender in the IR segment.

An update on the projects shared in an email  on Tuesday showed  Hann Casino Resort, Central Luzon’s first integrated  resort, is embarking on an P8-billion expansion while its upcoming $3-billion Hann Reserve has set the timeline for its development.

Hann Casino Resort is located in Clark Freeport zone while Hann Reserve is located in New Clark City in Tarlac.

Hann Philippines was started in 2006 by South Korean businessman Dae Sik Han established its predecessor, Widus Hotel and Casino, based on keen foresight on the immense potential of Clark Freeport Zone.

Hann Philippines said the expansion of Hann Casino Resorts will allow it to maximize its total area of 11 hectares, and capture the growing market of visitors.

Currently under construction, the expansion is targeted for completion  by the end of this year for the first phase, and  by the first quarter of 2026 for the second phase.

Hann Casino Resort operates 240 gaming tables, 1,162 slot machines and 72 electronic table games on top of two hotels — the Clark Marriott Hotel and Swissôtel Clark Philippines.

Hann Casino Resort has an aggregate gaming area of 13,656 square meters (sq.m.).

The company is currently constructing a two-level gaming floor measuring 26,160.4 sq.m. that will add 62 gaming tables and 558 slot machines as well as provide a multilevel parking structure that could accommodate approximately 330 parking cars.

“The expansion will include additional casual and fine dining restaurants and a greenhouse café and bar, which are intended to complement our gaming facilities, providing patrons with an even more diverse range of dining options at Hann Casino Resort,” Hann Philippines said.

“We believe that the expansion of our gaming floors with additional gaming tables and slot machines, new food and beverage (F&B) offerings, and the multi-level parking structure will continue to drive customer visits to Hann Casino Resorts,” it added.

Hann Philippines said it has recently opened the 8th Avenue Lifestyle Mall, a  retail and lifestyle strip.

The company said that before the end of the year, Hann Casino Resort will introduce other developments, including  a 3,500-square meter  gaming floor.

It said this will be followed by new Intercontinental and Novotel hotels that will also offer branded residences, targeted to begin operations by 2030.

Hann Casino Resort is the company’s maiden development in the Philippines which started  in 2006.

Hann Philippines’ upcoming project, Hann Reserve,  is a $3-billion 450-hectare master planned luxury estate which once completed will be the largest integrated resort and mixed-used development in New Clark City.

Hann Philippines said Hann Reserve will feature three 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Nicklaus Design, KJ Choi and Sir Nick Faldo, along with the only PGA-affiliated player development facilities in the country. These will be complemented by the sought-after international luxury hospitality brands of Accor Group and Marriott International. It will also feature a commercial center, casino, exclusive residences, and an international school.

The first of those three golf courses is due to open by the end of this year, the company said.

The development broke ground in November 2022.

Phase 1 will comprise the Jack Nicklaus golf course and Hann Reserve Golf & Country club, targeted by end of 2025. Initial phase of the public park is set for completion by the end of 2026

Phase 1B will comprise the KJ Choi golf course which is targeted to be operational by the end of 2027

Phase 2 will comprise the rest of the master plan, targeted for completion from 2028 to end of 2030

“Hann Reserve is expected to be developed with hotel luxury accommodations from international brands such as Sofitel, Westin, The Luxury Collection, Emblems, and SO, among others, as well as a mixed-use commercial center in addition to other facilities,” the company said.
