Filinvest Alabang Inc. (FAI) clinched the People’s Choice Stevie Award for Favorite Companies in the 17th International Business Awards (IBA).
The recognition comes after FAI bagged the highly coveted Gold Stevie Award for Real Estate Company of the Year. All organizations honored in the IBA’s Company of the Year categories were included in people’s choice voting, an annual feature of the world’s premier business awards.
“The winners of the People’s Choice Stevie Awards were able to activate and motivate their customers, employees, social media followers and other constituents to vote for them, and that is a testament to the healthy ties they have to those audiences,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher.
The worldwide public vote was conducted over the past month, with the highest number of votes deciding the winners in a variety of industry categories. To win, a category’s leading vote-getter had to receive at least 100 votes. More than 43,000 votes were cast.
Catherine Ilagan, FAI president and chief operating officer, attributed the company’s win to its strong foothold and building ethos in the multi-awarded mixed-use development Filinvest City, Alabang. The 244-hectare township—the largest in Southeast Asia—is home to numerous world-class residential and office developments, and is the first central business district in the country to have received a LEED gold certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design LEED v4 Gold for Neighborhood Development) from the US Green Building Council.
“Over the years, we have built people-centric communities that support wellness and sustainability, forging successful partnerships with local governments by unlocking land value through master-planned projects, sustained local employment, and various corporate social responsibility efforts,” Ilagan said.
