Tiggo Cross HEV: Budget tagger with big ambitions

One of several Chinese brands swarming Philippine roads, Chery Auto has just energized the domestic market with the launch of the Tiggo Cross HEV—touted as one of the most attainable hybrid subcompact SUVs in the country.

Now available in Chery showrooms nationwide, it’s priced to tempt: ₱1,198,000.

The launch of this new Chery Super Hybrid marks a significant pivot  in the brand’s journey toward sustainable mobility in the Philippines, with the Tiggo Cross HEV leading the charge to make hybrid technology more accessible to every Filipino family, according to Chery’s press release.

Built with Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) Technology, the Tiggo Cross HEV boasts an impressive driving range of 1,200 km on a single tank, powered by a drivetrain that sets new standards in the hybrid SUV category.

The Tiggo Cross HEV has more safety layers than lasagna: a 5-Star ANCAP Safety Rating, six airbags, a high-rigidity body structure, and 14 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions. Chery also integrates a 360° camera with transparent view, Adaptive Cruise Control, and other smart safety innovations to ensure peace of mind on every journey.

It comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km (whichever comes first) high-voltage battery warranty, and a 5-year or 150,000 km (whichever comes first) bumper-to-bumper warranty, the company added.
