“DALAWA na sila!” (There are now two!) was the comment of Danilo Empalmado, resident of Barangay San Vicente in San Pablo City, Laguna on the opening of the second Cleanfuel station just a kilometer from his home. The new station opened last April 1.

Empalmado, an entrepreneur delivering rice and other dry goods via a social media page has come to depend on Cleanfuel not only because it is affordable, but because of the quality of the fuel, as well as the many add ons he gets from coming to that station.

“Mababait at maasikaso ang mga tao dun at ubod ng malinis ang palikuran,” (The people are polite, and helpful and the toilets are really clean) Mang Danny said as he is flashed his his one-and-a-half year old Cleanfuel VIP Card.

“San Pablo City is the crossroads of the North and South,” Atty. Jesus “Bong” Suntay, President and CEO of Cleanfuel Group of Companies told Malaya Business Insight. “This is the first location of Cleanfuel where we are less than a kilometer apart from each other, with our first station northbound and this one going to Bicol.”

Suntay told Malaya Business Insight that his company is very confident of the solid growth of the South Luzon region. He specifically mentioned the soon-to-open SLEX Extension from Calamba to Quezon Province, the growth of new subdivisions and housing estates as well as the migration from Manila to the South brought about by industrial estates coming up not only in Sta. Rosa, Laguna but moving forward towards Quezon.

“The province of Laguna is something special to us. This is our second station in San Pablo City, and we are confident in increasing that number before the end of the year. With this, we are optimistic in bringing to the City not only excellent customer service, but also our top-notch facilities, and quality fuel for less,” Suntay added.

Marco Atienza, Director of Cleanfuel Group of Companies, not only echoed what Suntay said but also shared how San Pableños received Cleanfuel warmly.

“Our first San Pablo station proved itself. It showed a lot of promise when we started it and even after being surrounded by other fuel stations, it still is a well performing dealer. He also added that based on feedback research Cleanfuel is slowly becoming the preferred choice of Filipino motorists.

“We are receiving tons of feedback from our customer daily, and we are happy that we are getting positive comments about our products and services. This is a good opportunity for us to leverage and improve our brand further,” Atienza explained.

“Pagdating sa gasolina, kailangan quality hindi lang mura,” (When it comes to fuel, it is the quality that matters really, not just affordability) Peddie Agoncillo, retired PLDT lineman said. “Kasi may mura nga pero parang naiiba ang hatak ng sasakyan, minsan ramdam ko na parang mabilis maubos, di naman ok yun.” (Cheap fuels compromise performance, and sometimes I feel I can’t get enough out of it.)

PFC A. Jimenez was travelling for re-assignment to Quezon Province when he and his wife passed by Cleanfuel San Pablo South to refuel. He regularly fills up in Cleanfuel Kamias or D. Tuazon, which is closest to his home base. He is happy that there are Cleanfuel stations in Tiaong and Dolores where he is to take up his new post.

“Madami na din pala ang Cleanfuel stations dito sa lugar ng Laguna at Quezon,” Jimenez said.

The newly-opened station caters to motorists (both residential and commercial vehicles) travelling to and from the province of Laguna giving customers access to Cleanfuel’s product portfolio such as top quality Diesel, Clean 91, and Premium 95.

Suntay explained that the company is driven to serve Filipino motorists. “The opening of our latest station in South Luzon serves the needs of our customers and expands our retail footprint, as well as creates more job opportunities for locals, “adds Suntay.

On opening day San Pableños and other motorists passing by the new Cleanfuel San Pablo South station offers opening promo discount of P3.00 OFF on diesel and P5.00 OFF on gasoline to motorists who will fuel up during the opening.

As additional perks to its customers, Cleanfuel also offers FREE VIP cards to help its patrons enjoy the rewards program filled with numerous giveaways and discounts with partner establishments.

“Strength in numbers is an important part of our business, but as we grow, we are constantly innovating and improving our customer service, giving our customers the best experience every day. The addition of our new station in San Pablo South is a testament to customer satisfaction,” Atienza said.

In addition, the company said that digitalization is part of giving customers a seamless and hassle-free experience. “To match the growing demands of our customers, we are soon launching our mobile rewards app,” added Atienza.

The new station in San Pablo South is equipped with world-class facilities such as clean and spacious air-conditioned restrooms, parking space, air and water services, credit card and cashless payment options, and a loyalty rewards program, which allows customers to collect points and redeem reward items.
