SUZUKI Motor Corporation launched the all-new Swift in Japan, starting with CVT models on December 13, 2023, and 5MT models following on January 17, 2024.

The new Swift embodies the concept of “Energetic & Light – A refined smart compact that transforms everyday travel into play.” Building on the legacy of previous Swift models, it boasts of a refined design, enhanced driving performance, improved safety features, and added convenience. This focus on making daily life with a car more enjoyable elevates the Swift’s appeal and positions it as an evolved new compact hatchback.

The Swift’s design is crafted to make a lasting impression. The exterior features a sleek, round shape that envelops the entire car, exuding a sophisticated image and hinting at its spirited personality and driving performance. Inside, the instrument panel and door trim seamlessly connect, fostering a sense of unity between the driver and the car. The body color lineup includes a total of 13 vibrant options in 9 colors, including two new additions: Frontier Blue Pearl Metallic and Cool Yellow Metallic.

Under the hood, the Swift packs a newly developed Z12E engine paired with a CVT, delivering an optimal balance of fuel efficiency and driving performance. Maintaining its signature design, the Swift achieves class-leading aerodynamic performance thanks to features like back door side spoilers, an optimized front strake, and redesigned front bumper and wheels.

These contribute to a roughly 4.6 percent reduction in air resistance compared to the previous generation. Additionally, the extensive use of high-tensile steel plates and structural adhesives in the body enhances handling and ride comfort. Improved soundproofing with baffle materials and damping adhesive further elevates the driving experience.

The Swift puts safety first with the inclusion of Dual Sensor Brake Support II, which combines a millimeter-wave radar and a monocular camera. Adaptive Cruise Control with all-speed following and stop hold function, made possible by electronic parking brakes, takes the stress out of driving. Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive High Beam System add another layer of protection. Notably, Suzuki introduced the Driver Monitoring System, which uses camera detection to recognize driver fatigue or inattention and issue alerts.

The Swift’s compact and manageable size is complemented by a driver-centric layout. The seating arrangement promotes a natural driving posture, while easily accessible audio controls and switches ensure a comfortable and convenient driving experience.
