TOYOTA GAZOO Racing driver Mike Conway will not be participating in the upcoming Le Mans 24 Hours due to a cycling accident. Conway suffered fractures to his ribs and collarbone in the accident, leaving him unable to compete alongside Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries in the #7 GR010 HYBRID.

Despite the disappointment, Conway is expected to make a full recovery and the team is fully supporting his rehabilitation. José María López, a close friend of Conway and former teammate, will replace him in the #7 car for the race. López, a two-time World Endurance Champion and 2021 Le Mans winner with Conway and Kobayashi, was originally slated to race a Lexus RC F GT3 in the LMGT3 class.

Conway will begin an intensive rehabilitation program with the goal of returning to the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) as soon as possible. The Le Mans 24 Hours is the fourth round of the 2024 WEC season and takes place on June 15-16.
