HYUNDAI Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has awarded its 2024 Dealer of the Year (DOTY) title to Hyundai Bacolod, led by Geoffrey “Jojo” Ponce. This marks the first time a dealership from the Ponce Group has received this recognition. The award was presented during a formal ceremony on April 11th at the Conrad Manila in Pasay, which gathered Hyundai dealerships from across the Philippines.

During the ceremony, HMPH President Dongwook Lee emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric values: “While we celebrate our achievements over the past two years, I firmly believe that we have only begun tapping into the full potential of Hyundai as a brand… Our innovative spirit comes from the heart and genuine care for the people.”

Hyundai Bacolod was selected as the overall DOTY based on its top performance in a dealer operations scorecard. This scorecard evaluates dealerships across metrics including sales, service, parts, marketing, customer experience, and GDSI facilities. Hyundai Quezon Avenue and Hyundai Commonwealth were awarded first and second runner-up positions, respectively.

The Ponce Group has been affiliated with Hyundai since 2002, making Hyundai Bacolod one of the brand’s most established dealerships. The dealership’s focus on customer experience and employee support, alongside their strong sales performance and excellence in service operations, were likely key factors in securing the award. Hyundai Bacolod also manages the forthcoming Hyundai Dumaguete location.

HMPH remains committed to expanding its reach in the Philippines. The company reported strong sales figures in 2023, with models like the Stargazer and Creta driving substantial growth. In 2024, HMPH plans to open ten new dealerships, progressing towards a target network of 46 dealers nationwide.
