Goodyear celebrates 125 years of innovation

GOODYEAR marked its 125th anniversary with the regional event “Goodyear: 125 Years in Motion.” The event introduced four new premium product lines for the Asia Pacific region, reflecting Goodyear’s rich history of innovation and its commitment to a sustainable future.

Nearly 300 customer representatives and 100 media members attended the immersive event featuring Nathaniel Madarang, President, Goodyear Asia Pacific; Pietro Saletta, Vice President, Consumer Tires, Goodyear Asia Pacific; and Greg Hanna, Vice President, Product Development and Quality, Goodyear Asia Pacific.

Throughout Goodyear’s 125 years, the company has consistently innovated multi-brand product portfolios to deliver confident mobility for drivers around the world.

“Asia Pacific has emerged as one of the world’s largest automotive markets and holds incredible potential,” said Nathaniel Madarang, President, Goodyear Asia Pacific. “Goodyear’s innovative spirit and drive for excellence puts us at the epicenter of the mobility revolution and we are working closely with customers and innovators to transform the transportation industry.”

Nathaniel Madarang, President of Goodyear Asia Pacific, and other company leaders addressed around 300 customers and 100 media representatives at the event. Goodyear has consistently innovated its product offerings over the years, providing confident mobility to drivers worldwide.

Goodyear unveiled four new products: Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 for Luxury Sports, Wrangler DuraTrac RT for Premium 4×4 Off-Road, ElectricDrive, and Assurance MaxGuard for Mid Passenger. These products, powered by Goodyear’s advanced technologies, not only enhance the driving experience but also expand the company’s product range in Asia Pacific.

For the Philippine market, Assurance MaxGuard will be available in September 2023, while Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 and Wrangler DuraTrac RT will launch in January 2024. ElectricDrive will be available upon request starting January 2024.

The tiremaker is committed to a Better Future, focusing on energy efficiency, safety, tire longevity, comfort, convenience, and digital solutions. At the event, Goodyear showcased a demonstration tire made of 90% sustainable materials, emphasizing its goal to create a 100% sustainable and maintenance-free tire by 2030.
