“The ERA is a testament to our unwavering commitment to pushing technological and design boundaries. It’s a collaborative masterpiece, crafted by global talent from our Advanced Design studios in Los Angeles and Milan,” Fan Zhang, Vice President of GAC’s R&D Center stated in a press statement.
This international collaboration, led by Pontus Fontaeus, Director of GAC Advanced Design Los Angeles, defied all challenges: “Despite time zones, distance, and communication barriers, our team thrived in an atmosphere of trust and security. The ERA stands as a beacon of our expertise and dedication, transforming from concept to reality.”
Hydrogen fuel cells generating zero emissions with an impressive 800-kilometer range, while 200kW distributed motors on the rear axle delivering 540 horsepower. This translates to a full-size 4WD crossover SUV that’s both luxurious and exhilarating. Imagine spacious interiors within a 5413mm length and 3132mm wheelbase, offering effortless maneuverability with a 244mm ground clearance.
The ERA’s sleek and powerful design seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with industrial aesthetics. The front fascia is a stunning canvas for headlights, sensors, and cameras, integrated into a full-width light band adorned with a sophisticated heat-dissipating geometric pattern.
The aerodynamically sculpted body utilizes clean lines and a kit crafted from marine recycled plastic and seaweed bio-based materials, showcasing GAC’s commitment to sustainability.
Step inside the ERA and prepare to be transported to a future-forward living space. The human-centered design philosophy embraces organic curves, premium bio-based mycelium leather, and a color scheme transitioning from sunrise orange to sunset purple.
As the doors gracefully swing open, welcoming lights bathe the interior in a warm glow. The innovative seating arrangement adapts to your needs. Traveling with a group? Simply rotate the front seats to face the rear, creating a social haven.
Need extra comfort? Extend the rear seat leg rests or unfold them into additional seating. Craving a mobile oasis? Deploy the central console’s transformable tabletop and accommodate up to six people. When it’s time to unwind, the rear armrest unfolds into a tea table, inviting you to recline, converse, or simply savor the scenery.
