PHILCONSTRUCT 2024: Constructing a legacy based on sustainability

“BUILDING 35 years of legacy through sustainable industry advancement,” is the theme of PHILCONSTRUCT 2024, the thirty-fifth anniversary edition of the Philippine International Construction Equipment and Building Materials Exhibition, scheduled from November 7 to 10, 2024. This premier event will be held at two major venues: the SMX Convention Center Manila and the World Trade Center Metro Manila.

Organized by the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA), PHILCONSTRUCT serves as a comprehensive platform for the construction industry, bringing together over 500 participating companies occupying more than 1,200 booths.

Attendees can explore a wide array of innovative offerings, including sustainable and eco-friendly materials, smart construction technologies, prefabricated and modular construction solutions, and cutting-edge architectural designs. The event anticipates around 50,000 attendees from diverse sectors.

In addition to product exhibitions, PHILCONSTRUCT 2024 will feature seminars and workshops led by industry pioneers. Notable speakers include Rick Yelton, Editor at Large of World of Concrete, who will discuss the latest concrete trends.

Very interesting topics include: Constructing eQuality: The Role of Women in Nation Building by Women in Infrastructure, Tunnel and Underground Technologies and Solutions by Philippine Tunneling Society, Concrete 103 – Sampling and Preparation of Concrete Cylinder and Beam Specimen by Philippine Concrete Industry Association and Advances in Structural Integrity: Retrofitting, ACI Standard on Concrete Works, and High-Strength Concrete Applications on foundation piles by ACI Philippines.

The event will also host the covering subject such as green construction, construction risk management, formwork design, labor and hiring issues as well as financing and materials procurement. There are heavy equipment and construction transportation vehicles on display. Throughout the event, there are numerous specialized meetings and seminars, such as the PSMPE Manila Technoforum, extensive rigging and formworks design seminars, and several invitation-only gatherings, such as the PCA National General Membership Meeting and the Construction Industry Appreciation Night.

PHILCONSTRUCT 2024 aims to stimulate investments, job creation, and technological advancement in the Philippine construction industry, aligning with the government’s infrastructure development plans and promoting sustainable urban development. The event is open to the public, with free pre-registration available online.
