The Apache’s 312.2 cc engine is a ground-up creation, featuring a unique reverse inclined DOHC engine layout that optimizes mass centralization. Notably, the all-new forged aluminum piston, which is 5% lighter, contributes to its exceptional performance. With a peak power output of 35.6 PS at 9,700 rpm and a maximum torque of 28.7 Nm at 6,650 rpm, this engine is tuned to deliver torque across the entire power band, making it one of the fastest in its segment, capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.81 seconds.
The power generated by this remarkable engine is efficiently transmitted through a 6-speed transmission that incorporates a brand-new Bi-Directional Quickshifter. This quickshifter is finely tuned to operate within a broad RPM range, starting from 2,300 rpm and extending all the way to the redline. Complementing this transmission is a state-of-the-art Throttle-By-Wire system equipped with a sophisticated 46mm large throttle body, ensuring precise and responsive power delivery.
In terms of advanced features, it offers Race Tuned Linear Stability Control (RT-LSC), which encompasses straight-line dual-channel ABS, Cruise Control, Linear Traction Control, and rear lift protection. Remarkably, it introduces a segment-first Cruise Control system that maintains a preset speed without requiring any throttle or clutch input, greatly reducing rider fatigue during long-distance rides. Additionally, this cruise control system allows riders to downshift and upshift up to two gears, optimizing cruise RPM for extended usage.
The Race Tuned Slipper Clutch is another performance-enhancing feature, enabling rapid downshifts for later braking and more precise cornering. It utilizes an assist function to firmly engage the clutch plates during acceleration, enhancing torque-carrying capacity while reducing clutch operating force.
To ensure superior heat management, the motorcycle incorporates Engine Coolant Jacket Optimization and 23 rows of radiator tubes, effectively lowering engine temperatures and enabling higher revving, which leads to exceptional performance.
Lastly, the Apache introduces Glide Through Technology (GTT), an innovative feature that simplifies slow-speed maneuvering in traffic and other situations, enhancing the overall ease of riding.
“The TVS Apache RTR 310 is the first of a new generation of Apache’s that inherit a 40 year racing pedigree and are based on our ‘Track to Road’ philosophy.
