LOCAL fuel retailer Seaoil is keen on expanding its footprint as it starts construction of a new station in Bauang, La Union, which is set to be its biggest in Luzon.
The company said in a statement the station will be completed within the first half of the year and will cater to both fuel-powered and electric vehicles (EV).
Seaoil said the station will utilize an area of 12,400 square meters and will be a one-stop hub housing various locators such as coffee shops, convenience stores, car service shops and EV charging stations.
The company is setting up the station to accept payments using PriceLOCQ, Seaoil’s fuel-saving app, as well as sell lubricant products.
The station will also host a BYD EV showroom and service shop to be managed by SEAelectric Philippines Inc., the company added.
It also plans to add EV charging points at some of its 25 gasoline stations from its NLEX Balintawak branch going to the new Bauang station.
This will support the growing demand for EVs and address concerns on range anxiety by making charging more accessible to drivers along key routes, Seaoil said.
“This milestone marks the beginning of a new era for Seaoil. We’re ready to bring sustainable energy and electric vehicles to motorists based in the north. The decision to open in Bauang is strategic as we have an extensive business partner network in North Luzon and it is close to our Bangar depot further up north,” said Glenn Yu, Seaoil chief executive officer.
Seaoil said it currently has 15 stations in La Union province and a total of 833 stations across the country.
